Terminal installation

Every entrance planned before anything goes on the wall.

We match the terminal, attendance method, network connection and access rules to each entrance. You receive one installation plan covering the devices, software and tests required for go-live. Installation and support across Cyprus.

Before installation

Four decisions define the installation.

The correct setup depends on the people using each entrance, the available network and whether the same terminal will also control a door.

  1. 01

Where staff clock in and out

We identify the entrances, reception points and approved off-site locations where attendance must be recorded.

  2. 02

    How each group identifies itself

QR, RFID card, NFC phone or PIN can be assigned without biometrics. Face or fingerprint is considered only where its use is lawful and justified.

  3. 03

    How each terminal connects

We check Wi-Fi coverage, Ethernet cabling, PoE availability and power at the exact installation point.

  4. 04

    Whether the door is controlled

Attendance recording and access control can use the same terminal while keeping separate rules and records.

From survey to go-live

The complete installation is agreed before work starts.

One plan covers the physical terminals, Attendance configuration, testing and training.

  1. 01

    We review the site

Entrances, shift changes, staff volume, network coverage, power and existing door equipment are recorded.

  2. 02

    You receive the proposed setup

The plan names the terminal, attendance methods, connection and access-control requirements for every entrance.

  3. 03

    We configure Attendance

Locations, departments, employees, identification methods and door permissions are prepared before installation day.

  4. 04

    We install and test

Every method, clock-in direction, offline record and door command is tested at the entrance where it will be used.

  5. 05

    Managers are trained

The people responsible for schedules, attendance checks and devices learn the parts of the system they will use.

Power and connectivity

Wi-Fi, Ethernet or one PoE cable.

The connection can be different at each entrance. All terminals continue to store attendance records when the network is unavailable and send them with their original time after reconnection.

  • Power over Ethernet

One Ethernet cable carries data and power, so a separate socket is not required beside the terminal.

  • Wi-Fi

Useful where power is available but running a network cable to the entrance is impractical.

  • Backup battery

An optional battery keeps the terminal operating and recording during a power interruption.

  • Offline recording

Records remain on the terminal until the connection returns. Their original time is preserved.

Attendance and access control

One identification can record attendance and open the correct door.

If access control is required, the terminal can check both the attendance method and the employee’s permission for that door, location and time.

Attendance record

The arrival or departure appears immediately in Attendance with the employee, terminal, method and time.

Door decision

The door opens only when the employee has permission for that entrance and time.

Rejected attempt

Unsuccessful and suspicious attempts remain in the security history and can notify management.

One site, different terminals

Use the right model at each entrance.

All seven LEM models can operate together. Employees, methods and records stay synchronised in the same Attendance environment.

Hosting

Run Attendance in the environment that fits your organisation.

The terminals work with a Lemorange-managed Attendance environment or with a private installation on infrastructure controlled by your organisation.

Managed by Lemorange

We operate the Attendance environment and handle the infrastructure behind it.

On your own servers

Attendance can be deployed privately for organisations that must keep the system inside their own controlled environment.

Installation questions

What you need to know before installation.

Do you inspect the premises before proposing the terminals?

Yes. The proposal is based on the actual entrances, available network and power, staff volume and any door-control requirements.

What happens if the internet connection fails?

The terminal stores the records locally. When the connection returns, it sends them to Attendance with the time at which they were originally created.

Can different terminal models work in the same building?

Yes. All four models can share the same Attendance environment, so each entrance can use the model and identification methods it needs.

Can an existing door-access installation be used?

We first check the existing controllers, locks, cabling and protocols. The installation plan then states clearly what can remain and what must change.

Can Attendance run only on our own servers?

Yes. A private deployment is available for organisations that require the application and its data to remain in infrastructure they control.

Start with the entrances you actually use.

Show us the premises, the number of employees and how each door works today. We will prepare a clear installation proposal.
