Face recognition · 8″ screen · gates and turnstiles

Integrated with Attendance

Built for the gate, with a reception screen.

An 8-inch portrait face-recognition terminal for gates, turnstiles and doors. Two cameras check the person in front of it, the way opens and the clock-in is recorded, and the reception screen takes visitors and calls the front desk.

LEM Gate 8Face Recognition Access and Attendance Terminal, 8″

LEM Gate 8 8-inch face recognition access and attendance terminal with reception screen

What this one is good at

  • An 8″ portrait screen

1280×800 on toughened capacitive glass, showing the name of the person recognised and your reception menu.

  • Real faces only

Binocular 3D liveness refuses photographs and video. Verification rate of at least 99.9% with a false acceptance rate of 0.01% or lower.

  • Up to five people at once

Multi-person mode recognises up to five people in the frame, from 50 to 150 cm, masks included.

  • Made for gates and turnstiles

Relay output, Wiegand in and out, RS485 and RS232, with wall and turnstile brackets.

  • Video intercom

Call your reception or an indoor unit from the same terminal.

  • Speaks English and Greek

Spoken prompts with the person's name, in English and Greek.

  • A photo at every clock-in and clock-out

Kept with the punch and shown in Attendance.

With Attendance

The door happens, and it is in the software.

This is not a terminal you buy and then find an export routine for. It is integrated with Attendance at attendance.cy, and a punch at this door is in the live view before the person has finished walking through it.

  • Real time, not a poll interval

The gateway holds an open stream and pushes every event the instant it happens. No refresh, no five-minute wait, no "last synced at". Somebody clocks in and the board has them.

  • Three layers, so nothing is lost

The push is the fast path. Behind it Attendance polls on a watermark with a five-minute overlap, and behind that the terminal keeps its own log: up to a million events. Cut the network for a week and every punch still arrives, carrying the time it was made.

  • Straight into hours, not a spreadsheet

The punch becomes a shift, the shift becomes hours, and the hours become an approved payroll batch: in one record, with the corrections attached to it. Nothing is re-keyed and nothing is reconciled by memory at the end of the month.

  • You can see the terminal itself

Online or not, when it was last seen, and whether collection is current or overdue: per unit, in the portal. A terminal that quietly stops reporting is visible the same day rather than when somebody queries a missing shift.

Right for

  • Gates, speed gates and turnstiles that check every person
  • A reception or lobby where staff and visitors use the same screen
  • Sites that wire to an existing controller by relay, Wiegand or RS485

Not right for

An exposed outdoor position: it has no weather rating, so the LEM Ai8 Pro is the waterproof one. It reads face, QR code and card, with no fingerprint reader.

Buying

Delivery and installation
Free anywhere in Cyprus: we deliver it, mount it and connect it. Outside Cyprus, delivery is quoted per order and the terminal arrives set up, ready for you to mount.
24-month warranty
If it stops working as it should, we replace it.
Rent to own
Pay monthly instead of up front. After 24 months the terminal is yours. Ask us for the monthly rate.
Software
Sold separately. The price depends on the features you use and how many people you have. Ask us.

Face recognition for everyday attendance is restricted in Cyprus. The LEM Gate 8 also reads a QR code or an IC card, so the same terminal runs without biometrics. When biometric attendance is allowed in Cyprus

Attendance integration

Live updates
Real time, pushed The gateway holds an open stream and sends each punch the moment it happens. Somebody walks through the door and the live view has them, without a refresh and without a poll interval to wait out.
If the network drops
Nothing is lost The terminal keeps its own log, and Attendance polls the gateway on a watermark with a five-minute overlap. Reconnect and every punch made in the gap is imported, with its original time, not the time it arrived.
Duplicate protection
One punch, once The same event arriving by both push and poll is recognised as one punch, not two.
Device health
Online, last seen, collection state Shown per terminal in the portal, so a unit that has quietly stopped reporting is visible before somebody notices a missing shift.
Verification status
Integrated The model connects to Attendance for clock-in and clock-out, employee matching and synchronisation after a connection interruption.
Firmware
Runs custom Lemorange Attendance firmware

The other models

The terminal is the part you can change your mind about.

Every one of these writes into the same record, so a site can run two models on two doors, or replace one in three years, without anything downstream noticing. What you are choosing here is how people get through a particular door, not a platform.
