Attendance and access control

One identification records attendance and opens the right door.

Use the terminal for attendance only, or connect it to an electric lock, gate or controlled entrance. Set who may enter, at which point and during which hours. Installed across Cyprus.

  • Attendance and access on one identification
  • Wiegand, PoE and Wi-Fi
  • Rejected attempts are recorded

Attendance and access together

One verification can record attendance and unlock the door.

The same terminal can do both, or attendance only. Attendance recording and access control keep separate rules and records.

  • Attendance and access together

One identification records the entry or exit and, when authorised, unlocks the door.

  • Access only where and when it is allowed

Choose which entrances each employee or team can use, and on which days and hours.

  • Suspicious attempts are recorded

Rejected or suspicious attempts remain available for review and alert the responsible managers.

  • It also works for time attendance only

Access control is optional. Attendance recording does not require a connection to a lock.

At the door

What happens when someone identifies at the terminal.

If access control is required, the terminal can check both the attendance method and the employee's permission for that door, location and time.

  1. 01

    Attendance record

The arrival or departure appears in Attendance with the employee, terminal, method and time.

  2. 02

    Door decision

The door opens only when the employee has permission for that entrance and time.

  3. 03

    Rejected attempt

Unsuccessful and suspicious attempts remain in the security history and can notify management.

The doors you already have

Checked against your door equipment before anything is installed.

The installation plan starts from what is already on your doors.

  • Existing equipment first

We first check the existing controllers, locks, cabling and protocols. The installation plan then states clearly what can remain and what must change.

  • Wiegand

Every model has a Wiegand connection, with 26/34-bit input and output on most, so a terminal can sit in front of an access controller you already own. Each model page lists what it carries.

  • Door signals and alarms

Every model has a lock output. The LEM Ai8 and LEM Ai10 add a door-open signal, door-left-open and forced-door alarms, and an input for an external access-control reader.

  • Separate rules and records

Attendance recording and access control can use the same terminal while keeping separate rules and records.

Power and connectivity

Wi-Fi, Ethernet or one PoE cable.

The connection can be different at each entrance.

  • Power over Ethernet

One Ethernet cable carries data and power, so a separate socket is not required beside the terminal.

  • Records survive an outage

Terminals continue to store attendance records when the network is unavailable and send them with their original time after reconnection.

  • No inbound ports opened on your network

Each terminal makes a secure outbound connection to Attendance. We do not require an open inbound port or permanent remote access to your network.

Biometrics at the door

Start without biometrics. Use them only where the security need is shown.

Everyday doors

QR, RFID card, NFC and PIN can be assigned to a door without biometrics. Start there for ordinary staff entrances.

High-security doors

Face or fingerprint access may be justified at ports, airports, military sites and similarly sensitive premises, after the required assessment, and it needs a documented justification. Keep the attendance record itself on a non-biometric method, because attendance is a separate purpose.

Questions

Questions about access control.

Can one terminal record attendance and open a door?

Yes. One identification records the entry or exit and, when the person is authorised, unlocks the door. The terminal can check both the attendance method and the employee's permission for that door, location and time.

Can I use the terminals for attendance only?

Yes. Access control is optional. Attendance recording does not require a connection to a lock.

Can I control who opens which door, and when?

Yes. Choose which entrances each employee or team can use, and on which days and hours. The door opens only when the employee has permission for that entrance and time.

What happens when someone is rejected at a door?

Unsuccessful and suspicious attempts remain in the security history and can notify management.

Can we keep our existing door controller, locks and cabling?

We first check the existing controllers, locks, cabling and protocols. The installation plan then states clearly what can remain and what must change. A terminal with a Wiegand connection can also sit in front of an access controller you already own.

Do we need to open ports on our network?

No. Each terminal makes a secure outbound connection to Attendance. We do not require an open inbound port or permanent remote access to your network.

Can a door use face or fingerprint?

Only where its use is lawful and justified. QR, RFID card, NFC and PIN work without biometrics. For a genuinely high-security door, biometric access needs a documented justification, and the attendance record itself should stay on a non-biometric method.

Tell us how each door works today.

Bring the entrances, the number of people and any door equipment already installed. We will map the terminal and the connection needed at each point.
